We have wonderful neighbors, tons of darling little girls- and my gals love all of them. These two cuties came over the other day for a fun day outside and homemade snow cones, yum!
When it gets too hot outside-which seems to be often-we have been in the 100's lately. We cool off by coming inside and baking up something yummy~seems like an oxymoron to say we are staying cool by baking, right?

Chris and I headed to Salt Lake last weekend down to the Usana Amphitheatre, and we had a blast at the Kenny Chesney concert. Okay. Am I a hypocrite? Um....this was totally for Chris. Everyone knows I'm not a big fan of country, but chris bought us tickets and we went with some really fun couples, and really.....it's not too hard to have a fabulous time with good friend, on a beautiful summer night outside listening to some fun music. We had a blast!

My cute friend Mindy-we really had a blast! Cotton candy---yum!

We spend lots of time at Grandma's. The girls love picking raspberries. Yay-I actually had my camera to capture some sweet raspberry picking!

The girls went swimming on the trampoline and then we drew with sidewalk chalk, I knew they were going to love it, but I had no idea what the girls were really capable of coming up with. I was in shock when I walked over and saw this adorable picture Isa drew. She's awesome!
Me and the gals had a girls day out at the pool. They are little fishies. They learned a lot at swimming lessons this year, so we headed to the big kids pool and the girls loved jumping off the side and swimming to me. And this is the first time that both girls went down the water slide all by themselves, wahoo, they loved it....it was a fun day!

Just another little random summer fun in the backyard. Trying to stay cool!

Tuesday night for Young Women we headed up to the Wind caves up in Logan Canyon. It was a great hike and we got to the top just in time for the sun to start setting, it was beautiful!

I just adore these girls...I mean leaders. Sometimes we forget that we are leaders, we tend to have just as much fun as the young ones!!
On the way back down the trail-it was starting to get dark and Terri, our YW president, was at the front of the line-and then I was second. We got talking and we heard something in the bushes. Now anyone who knows the wind caves, knows that the trails up there aren't very wide. So we looked down in the bush and we see the head of a rattle snake. Terri takes off running down the trail and I just froze. I didn't know what to do, I was scared out of my mind because I didn't dare step right next to the head. Finally he slithered away-and the rest of the hike was a panic attack waiting to happen because we were walking down in the dark....and we were terrified of coming across another snake. It was a memorable, fun, and beyond exciting night!

We enjoyed the 24th of July. Parades in North Logan and fireworks at Willow Park.

We have made homemade water slides....the girls favorite!

We have been busy with different projects. Chris's mom wanted to redo her laundry room. So I drew up a design for her....and my awesome talented husband put the plan to work....Do you love my very professional hand drawing (yes, it looks like a kindergartner drew it, I didn't claim I was an artist!!)

But here it is....all finished. Chris did awesome and I think my mother in law is having fun buying knickknacks and cute stuff to add the finishing touches.

This weekend was an absolute blast. We decided that we should take the girls up to Tony's Grove fishing. It was a beautiful day...and bonus, it was only 56 degrees (talk about definitely cooling down on a hot summer day!)

Okay I'm a little biased, but dang it they are sure cute!

The infamous bag of BBQ chips that no matter where we were...squirrels kept trying to steal the bag!! It was fun!

Eva is a busy body like me, we got bored so we went on a little hike while dad and Isa finished up fishing.

One of the many squirrels that kept steeling our chips. The girls thought he was adorable!
Dad patiently waiting for a bite.....

The sweetest fishing picture EVER,,,,,melt my heart!

And after a couple hours and realizing our bait wasn't going to catch any fish...we drove back home and stopped at the trout farm and we caught 3 fish in like 10 minutes...the kids were so excited!...ever notice that Eva is always in the back striking a pose?...Jazz hands.

And the video of them catching one of the fish.....seriously.....a bunch of girls!!
The girls were horrified watching Dad gut the fish....and let's be honest....I was pretty grossed out myself!!....but these trout made for a tasty dinner!

...and to end the weekend, we got to see this amazing double rainbow before bed time. PERFECT!

It looks like we are some of the only bloggers left out there, lol. Like you, I do it for the kiddos. I hope they appreciate it someday! Time flies so fast and it's so hard to see changes day to day. The blog helps me capture the fleeting moments.
