I think I just made a new record, it's been well over a month since my last blog post. I promise we are still alive and doing well. This may be a long post.....settle in.
June started off fun, Chris and I decided that we needed to go on more dates. So, he took me to the U2 concert, and we had a lot of fun. It was a great way to kick off summer. A week later he took me to Les Miserable and it was fun to see a musical. I have never been to one before, so it was really cool. I realized about 1/2 way through the show that I totally have A.D.D. I think I have the attention span of a 6 year old, because I was ready to call it quits when I realized that intermission was just that, a break....not the end. But, the music was beautiful and it was so nice to have a night with the hubby! I don't think I have much more to say about June other than rain....rain...rain....it seemed that June just came and went and we had to find ways to entertain ourselves.
It's not hard to be entertained at our house......as you can see!!!

Eva found chris's glasses one morning (Yes, they must be from like 1980)....can someone please tell my husband that glasses and technology have come along way since his mom bought these for him in the 5th grade, LOL!!
I had to get creative, since day after day it rained...thank goodness I had put away some of the girls Christmas toys.....it was great to pull them out in June for new fun!
Well, that sums up June....July was fun, we kicked it off with the Beach Boy concert at the fairgrounds, it was actually one of the funner concerts we have been to, they put on a really fun show....and the old people dancing was entertainment alone...they were darling! The girls were terrified of doing fireworks, besides poppers, Lol!
We headed to Logan's good ol fireworks on the night of the 1st...yes, that's right...as long as I can remember Logan has never celebrated the holiday on the 4th...it's weird.....but, the kids don't seem to mind whether fireworks are on the 1st or the 4th, they had fun!!
I think the funnest part of the fireworks is just the anticipation of waiting for them. The kids ran around chasing each other, wrestling, eating Grandma Shannon's homemade caramel corn...it's just fun!
The night of the 4th we did our own fireworks....Eva either hid behind the garbage can or behind the gate.....it was pretty cute!
And, to sum up the rest of what has been going on at our house, it seems like all we have done is project after project. It's been fun but a lot of work. Chris just finished building the girls their playset...it took him 3 weeks. Every weekend and every night after he got home from work he worked on it.....he is awesome!!! I don't think I realized the handy man skills my hubby has, I think my honey do list may get long. But, I was so proud of him and the girls go outside every day and play on it.....I think it has been pretty rewarding for Chris to watch the girls have so much fun!!!
And, A LOT of my time has been dedicated to getting our yard up and running. This picture was taken last fall...we planted grass seed over labor day weekend....it's been fun to watch it come up.
This is where the yard is so far. We still have lots to do, but it has been so much fun. I have decided that if I could spend 24-7 outside planting flowers, gardening and all that good stuff, I totally would. I absolutely love being outside doing yardwork. I think Chris has only had to mow the lawn once this year....that's how much I love it!
We still have a couple areas that we have to reseed where the ground sunk after all the snow and rain in the spring...but once we get that done and finish our parkstrip, I think we will call it good for this season.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer, and I promise I won't let another month pass by before I update our blog ;o)
