We relaxed a lot, the weather out there was in the 80's and 90's, it was beautiful (unlike this crappy weather we returned too, what the heck is up with Utah???) We spent lots of time outside enjoying the weather, blowing bubbles, taking nightly trips to the ice cream shop, and taking walks on their nature trails. They have the coolest walking trails in my parents neighborhood, it's like being up in the mountains, without having to drive to the mountains. There are squirrels and rabbits and little ponds and ducks all over. It's sooo fun to take walks with the kids and look for cute little animals!
While we were out in South Dakota, my parents took the kids for 3 days and Chris and I took a road trip for our anniversary. We haven't taken a road trip alone since we've had kids. So we were really excited. We drove to Minneapolis, which is about 3 1/2 hours from my parents house. When we hopped in my parents car, my mom had this cute bag she had put together for our anniversary trip, loaded with goodies. My mom's so cute!
While in Minneapolis we were able to watch the Yankees play at the Twins stadium. We went to game 3, and the Yankees had already won the first 2 games, let's just say people in Minneapolis weren't so nice to those who were wearing Yankee apparel. It was pretty fun! Chris was eating it up!
On a side note, this was our 6th anniversary. I was joking with Chris that there is a serious trend with our wedding date. On our honeymoon, there was 2 nights we had to spend in the hotel room watching the Laker's play off's, Our real anniversary this year, was on the 8th of May, and I spent it alone while my hubby was down at the Energy Solutions Erena watching the Laker's play the Jazz, and then to celebrate our anniversary, we went to a Yankee game. Are you seeing the trend??? So I politely reminded my husband that next year our anniversary is to be spent doing something that doesn't involve sports, he politely reminded me that I married him during NBA playoff season. Hmmmm......this would have been nice to know BEFORE the wedding, LOL!!!!!

We had to much fun with my parents, we wore them out, and they wore us out, and we are missing them like crazy!
We moved into our house on Saturday the 5th of June. We are soooo excited. It has been such a busy week trying to unpack boxes, I have huge bags under my eyes, because I stay up way too late unpacking and Eva loves to wake me up at 6:30 the next morning. My goal this week is to get some rest!! Friday night I was able to catch a super cute pictures of the girls. We decided that we needed to do something fun with the girls at the new house, so we thought we would break in the new oven and make chocolate chip cookies. I didn't think about this when I bought our appliances, but I bought a double oven, and the lower section of the oven sits on the ground. The girls were in heaven just sitting on the floor watching their cookies bake. It was priceless!
We got home and took Eva to her 1 year Dr's appointment, here are her stats:
Weight: 18.9 pounds (14th percentile)
Height: 29.5" (60th percentile)
She is seriously just a tiny little thing, and I don't know how.....this kid eats like there is no tomorrow!!!! I was trying to get some dishes done the other night, and so I was trying to keep her busy....lost track of time, and came back to the table to find this.....

I can't wait to come see it! Let me know when you're ready! Very cute pictures of the girls.
LOVE that picture of Eva with the pudding! Priceless! Can't wait to see pictures of your cute home. Congrats!
I'm glad you and Chris got to getaway for a bit. I'm with you though, I say next year you take him to a mall for a few hours. ;)
Cute, cute pic's. Can't wait to see the new house!
Sounds like a busy, crazy, fun time that you will remember forever. Awesome photos, and hang in there!
Seriously fun times! I am super jealous of the beautiful weather there. Utah weather is so stupid. I can count on one hand the days it has been 100% nice: no wind, and no rain. There is supposed to be a huge storm tomorrow, which is....just awesome!
Anyway, glad you guys had a fun time. Your girls are dolls. Love the messy face pics ;)
