We had such a fun Easter weekend, and I promised my parents I would post lots of pictures to our blog, so there will be lots of pictures! We kicked off our Easter weekend with our annual trip to the Lee's Easter celebration. Isabella was surprisingly excited to see the Easter bunny and wanted to give him a hug. Eva couldn't quite figure him out.

After we got back from Lee's, we got our Easter eggs dyed. Isabella was cracking me up. Every once in awhile before she would go to dye an egg, she would test it by smacking it on the table......we have a few cracked eggs!

Isabella striking a pose with her Easter dye.

We made monster eggs this year, and Isabella was so careful about making sure she put the eyes at the right height and right spacing, she's quite the little perfectionist, it makes me laugh!

Do you love her smile covered in chocolate with a huge piece of bubble gum.....you're kids are suppose to be covered in chocolate Easter weekend, right?

Okay, so the picture above cracks me up. Here's the story. We've been talking about Easter for awhile now, Isabella new it was Easter morning. But between what we bought her and what grandma and grandpa bought her, she was a little spoiled. So when uncle Kyle woke up and came upstairs to see what the girls got for Easter, Isabella asked Kyle, "So what did you get for Christmas?" Later she asked,"Kyle, are you having a good birthday?" Poor thing was so confused...next year it's just a dress and an Easter egg hunt. We'll make it easier for her!

Eva dove right in. Every time she peeked around Chris's arm she was going to town on those Easter brownies (still in the package of course). So we have all these brownies with little bites taken out of them....still inside the wrapper. And of course by looking at her cheeks you can tell we never feed her!
Then it was off to breakfast, I can't take credit for this. While the girls were playing with their Easter stuff, Grandma Shannon whipped up a batch of Strawberry Shortcake waffles......from scratch....yep, you read that right. I will put the recipe on my kitchen blog....you can click
here to get it.

Isabella only has 2 cousins and they live in Pittsburgh, so Isabella did the egg hunt by herself this year....but I don't think she was dissapointed....because she ended up with ALL the eggs for herself!

My goodness! I'm coming to your house for Easter next year. You guys do it right! Very cute pictures!
We should get our girls together for an Easter egg hunt next year since we don't have any cousin's on my side of the family. They need some playmates when we come visit Smithfield!
Happy Easter to you guys!
That is how it is for my boys on my side of the family too. luckily, grandpa is a bigger kid than us all, so they don't get bored :)
I am impressed with the white shirt while dying easter eggs! And it looked like it stayed white!
Thanks for sharing the pictures of our Little Angels! Easter just isn't the same when you don't have family and grandbabies to share it with.
Love you!

Your girls are too cute. I am so proud that Isa saw the bunny. Wyatt took a good look and then let out a death scream. By the way, Thanks for the marshmallows. How did you ever know they would be his fav!
You are in trouble when Isa gets older- she is SOOO cute! I love that Eva was eating the candy through the wrapper. What a fun Easter!
