When I was about 5 months pregnant I stumbled upon this organization called "Now I lay me down to sleep Foundation." I looked at their website and was overwhelmed with emotion as I read about this foundation. I haven't thought much about this foundation until my sister in law's recent blog post. Most of you have seen the work of my sister in law's photography (Ashley Mae Photography) and she announced that she has joined with the NILMDTS foundation.
A little history of NILMDTS-This non profit organization goes into hospitals after a baby has passed away and they take pictures for the family for them to keep to remember their precious baby. My sister in law had her first opportunity to go to Logan Regional Hospital last week after a 37 week old baby boy had been delivered stillborn. I cried as I read her story, and she has been on my mind ever since I read her post. I know Ashley will probably think I am a nerd for sharing this, but I just think the world of her, and I want to support her in this cause and hope you will too. I don't donate to many organizations (curse me if you want), but I felt impowered to do so with this organization. If you would like information on this foundation and would like to make a donation visit their website at NILMDTS
Here is the link to some of the amazing families and their stories. (Have a tissue in hand, it's heartwrenching!)

When I had my miscarriage last year I found this website and the family stories really helped me heal. I love this organization, and hope to someday do photography for it. Thanks for sharing. This really is a wonderful cause. This is all they have of their precious children.
Thanks for posting this! My sister gave birth to a still born baby in April and this organization came and took pictures for her. They are hard to see, but she loves them and it's all she has of her little boy!
AWWW! I totally dont think you are a nerd, I just love ya!!
It seriously is so heart wrenching to see the pictures but its their baby, they need pics. So many people think that a baby was never really a baby unless they took their first breath- this is sooo not the case. Its your baby from the time its conceived!!
Anyways, I will stop rambling like a monkey. Im emailing you a link right now so check your email!
Love ya, your a sweetheart for posting this- we are trying to spread the word cause not many know about it!
I can't even read stories like this these days. I think it's so neat that there are organizations like this out there. I think it's great you support it. Thanks for sharing.
I had a friend who lost her baby and they took pictures and made a video for her. It IS heart wrenching. No other words can describe it. I cry just thinking about it.
Not a good day to read this. Cried my eyes out and Brynly starts kindergarten. I have to hug them tight!!!!!
Thanks for sharing! It is so heart wrenching to see this pictures, but the families need to have these pictures after losing a baby!
I didn't find out about this organization until after we lost Baby Jayden but I am so glad that we have the few pictures that we do and I wish I would have known about it then. Tell Ashley thanks so much for what she is doing!
I had no idea about this organization. I checked it out, cried. And will spread the word to all I konw. I think it's great your SIL is taking part in this.
I think it's an amazing idea. What a way to capture and remember your baby.Bless the strength it must take for those photographers to do that and not break down.
Thanks for sharing.
