These pictures don't show the true purple color of the bruise because I had my flash on, but I think you get the idea!
So, Monday started off exciting and Tuesday got even more exciting. For our Young Men/Young Women activity we went to Wellsville ( I hope you can hear my Cornish roots coming out when I say that). There was the coolest place that we rented out. It was some land that a family owns and they rent it out for family reunions and church activities. But, it's a hill and they have taken tarp and put it down the hill, and they run water from the top, so it's like a HUGE slip and slide. The only way I can describe this thing is like Splash Mountain (minus the log seating). It scared the Ba-Geebies out of me, but the kids had a blast!! Here's me and Isa going down the small slide, she thought it was pretty cool!
The next picture is all of us standing at the top of the hill waiting our turn to go down the Mother of all Slip and Slides. I thought I was going to throw up just looking down this thing, I haven't had butterflies like that in a long time! So, someone had a brilliant idea. Why not send down the Young Women's President, the Miamaid Counselor, the Miamaid Advisor (me), and The Bishop's wife together on a train. Hmm....it sounded fun. But then as I was half way down the hill (a little too late) I realized it wasn't such a great idea. Think about it, a hill....straight down.....400 plus pounds in one train, and the speed that that weight creates down that steep hill.....I screamed like a little girl all the way down
I know this picture only looks like 2 people, but that's 4 of us bunched up grabbing a handful of each other's boobs just to keep a hold of something as we screamed down this slide!!! Good time, good times!
Other family news, my Grandpa Winn is getting married!! We are so excited for him! So my mom flew into town this week to help my grandpa clean out his house and get all of his belongings put together so he can get married in the next month. It was a short trip, but it's always fun to see my mom. We got the family together and went to Coppermill before she headed back home, and it was just a really fun night. It wasn't sad to say good-bye this time, because we will see her and my dad again in less than a month for the big wedding!!

I know all about seeing you kid get hurt and wanting to do anything to take it away from them. That is a nice goose-egg she got- poor thing. I love your scrapbook page. Our ward does that slip-n-slide yearly and I have yet to make it to that activity. But it does look fun!
Poor baby! It always breaks your heart when they get hurt like that.. and they try to be so tough( yes oreo are definetly a feel better cookie.)
SO I am cracking up at your slip n slide adventure!!!! HILARIOUS!
So sad for the Ka-Boom!
Funny, my son did the exact same thing to his head last week! I asked him if he was trying to grow horns and he laughed at me! That is what it looked like though.
I keep meaning to talk to you about using those pictures, but I never see you on Sunday! Sure it isn't a problem. I need to get your email address again so I can send them to you.
HOw do you rent the slip and slide? I went to see Mamma Mia and we HAVE to go and see it together..
I just cringe when I hear that painful cry...breaks my heart!
I'll have to ask Tami if she enjoyed to boob grab...
Poor little thing-that is a good bump on her head!
Oh man! I hate that sound of your child hitting the pavement. Isabella is quite the poser when it's picture taking time. See ya on Thursday. I have good news to share. (NO I AM NOT PREGNANT).
We rented that place out for a couple of years for our family reunion and it is SO FUN! Who knew it existed!
She does have a pretty big goose egg. I love how she says, ka-boom!
The way you describe things cracks me up. The way you described going down that slip-n-slide with those other ladies was hilarious! Sorry about Isa's boo-boo. It doesn't get any easy the older they get or more kids you have.
Good job Izzy! That's a pretty "swell" bruise for her first big Ka-boom! :)
The Clark's waterslide is so fun! I live in Wellsville so we usually get a chance each year to partake of the tarp-torpedo so I had to laugh at your discription. LOL!
So sad :(! Now you can my blog though!!
Amy
Poor girl- goose eggs look so painful on kids. That slip-n-slide looks fun. We have a big hill by our house that we have tried that before. It turns into a big competition who can go the farthest.
Taneill
poor girl! Ellie also had her first big ka-boom just last week when she fell off the deck. You feel so bad for them but unfortunately know that it's probably not the last time.
Oh....sweet thing. That made me so sad to hear she would try to hold in a cry and say KaBoom. :(
That is quite the slide. I would love to try it out some time.
That slide looks SO fun! I want to go to that place just for the slide!
Oh that's so sad about Isa falling down and taking such a hard fall :( I can only imagine how hard it must be to see your child hurting like that!! She's still gorgeous either way and a cookie is such a perfect remedy!
Thanks for the compliment on the pics. My friend did them... he always manages to get the best backgrounds... they ALWAYS look fake... You should've seen what He did with my bridals... OH MY GOSH! So amazing...
How in the world did she tip over the three wheeler? That is no fun. Congrats on your grandpa's wedding. That is fun when they don't have to be alone. Do you like her? What a fun slip n slide story. I bet you'll never forget it;)
