Bring on "FALL"

Okay, I don't know if I could live anywhere but Utah. Well, I could, but I don't know if I would want to. I absolutely love seasons, I love all of them! But, I think Fall has to be my favorite. School started this week, and once school's back in session it seems to immediately start turning to FALL. I love watching the leaves turn beautiful different colors, the smell in the air is crisp, and it feels so nice outside. I took a walk Friday morning, and I couldn't believe there was like a 10 degree difference just from last week. I admit, I have already taken my Fall trip to Tai Pan this week and purchased some cute Pumpkins for my porch and a new Fall wreath, call me crazy, but this is by far my favorite season to decorate for(besides Christmas, but that's a given)!! I was telling my mother in law, who lives close to the High School, that I love driving up to their house in the Fall and listening to the sound of the Football announcer's voice on Friday nights, that to me is another sound of FALL, unfortunately the football field is still "under construction" so we missed the announcer's voice this Friday. Okay, I will stop rambling, is anyone else getting excited???? If not, I apologize for removing my Summer decor on the blog so soon!!

I also have to share a few funny stories from this week. I totally dread grocery shopping, so if you have ever seen me on a Monday at Wal-mart (Yes, Halee I haven't seen you there for a little while) you will know that I look like a crazy lady with pizza's and baguettes falling out every side of the cart. Are we pigs at our house, c'mon, there's only 3 of us!! But, this is my thing. I only shop TWICE a month for groceries, therefore I stock up on TP, diapers, food, everything!!! Every other Monday is my shopping day, it takes like 3 hours, but atleast I only have to do it TWICE a month!!! Moving onto the point of my story. I was nearing the finish line....the frozen section. Isa had had enough, so she started to throuw a tantrum (at this point I don't even try to control the tantrums, I want to throw one myself). This might sound familiar, this is how the tantrum goes. A cute couple sniffles......holding breath for 10 seconds......as loud and with as much strength that can come out of a chest that small,,,the biggest scream you have ever heard in your entire life. Well, as we were rounding the corner to the frozen department, she was at the holding her breath part.....as soon as we started down the isle....the scream hit. There was a lady in the isle and she was not paying attention, she knew I was there, but that was about it. When Isa started "the scream" this woman did "The truffle shuffle"-if you are a fan of GOONIES, you know "The Truffle Shuffle". I had to hold my breath, I couldn't giggle in front of her. But, I admit it's the first time a tantrum has made me laugh hysterically!!

This one's for Chris. Chris had a baseball game on Thursday night. His routine is always the same. Come home from work, change, run to 7-11 and then hit the game. Well, he was at 7-11 picking up his Gatorade. He went to open the fridge door, and this 2 year old came out of nowhere and tried to run between Chris and the door, sadly enough........he didn't make it. He did however manage to completely plant his face on the glass of the door, which knocked him back on the ground. He layed there lifeless, Chris looked around and finally the mother came running over. If you know my husband, you can feel the uncomfortableness between him and the mother right now. He just looked up and said "Sorry, I didn't see him" She was really sweet about it, as she peeled her son up off the floor and carried him away. When he came home and told me about this, I laughed all day about it!!

I am the exact way about fall. I love it. I always look forward to Septemeber. In Septemeber is gets less hot and the leaves start turning, and frankly I start smiling more. I just wish fall lasted for about 5 months!

so funny!! I NEVER go shopping. Okay, I do but not much. Rob picks up a few things on his way home from work. When I go out I end up with the tantrum because of taking 3 kids.

I LOVE LoVe loVe LovE Luvvvvvvvv Fall. I go crazy decorating also and am chomping at the bit to get it all up. I am waiting a bit because I know the neighbors already know I am a crazy woman, so I want to keep them on their toes.

ps I remember seeing you at Tai Pan!! I felt so gross and you looked like a cute pregnant doll. I know you probably go to the other Tai Pan, but I wish I could run into you at the one by me. Christmas Baby...now that is the time to hit Tai Pan. I just stand and drool...

Hey Melissa! It's good to see what you guys have been up to. Yeah, sorry about missing the reunion. At least I have the excuse of living too far away and being too poor to fly to Utah. ha ha. Anyway, we really like your blog. Take care!

I love fall too! And the football announcing is totally fall and reminds me of fall. It would be fun to get a huge group of us together and go back to a SV game sometime:). Probably not this fall though- I think I'll be busy enough with the little one.

Funny stories- I love the truffle shuffle story. That was so great!

I love fall too. I really miss the seasons here in Hawaii. Of course I can tell when itʻs a different season based on if itʻs rainier or not, but thereʻs no changing of leaves. I used to live in Oklahoma, and THAT is a fall worth seeing. Itʻs a longer fall and so the leaves are fall colors for a while.

(your daughter is so cute. I love seeing all the new pictures of her)

Will you please demonstrate the "truffle shuffle" for me next time I see you? :)

I LOVE fall too! I pulled out some of my fall decor yesterday and turned on one my fall scents on my Scentsy. I just sat on my couch and took it all in. There is just something about this time of year that makes me happy.

Yeah, I always knew Chris was an a-hole when it came to beating up on other people's kids. What a jerk

Love your fall blog design! and yes, Utah's changing seasons are beautiful and we miss them for sure! I LOVE the changing seasons too...Shawn is sick of me telling him how excited I am for all the upcoming holidays. It is still hot and humid here in Texas, but we can't wait to get to Maryland, we hear it is beautiful up there in the fall!

I couldn't agree with you more, on loving FALL and hating TANTRUMS!! Kaitlyn is really getting skilled at throwing the hugest, most embarrasing fits ever! I don't mind grocery shopping, but lately I have been avoiding it like the plague because a total melt down is imminent!
