Still Sickly

Since our last post, Isa is feeling much much better and back to her usual silly self. Unfortunately Chris came down with a cold right as we were leaving to go out of town for his grandma's funeral. He was feeling louzy all week and finally started feeling better around Thursday. Just in time for me to come down with a cold. So I have spent the weekend on the couch drugged up on cold and flu medicine.

I have been so blessed with a LITTLE girl with the BIGGEST heart. She always knows when mommy isn't feeling well. Today she went over and got one of her bowls and a spoon and started feeding me. I couldn't help but get teary eyed. She is the sweetest little thing. It reminded me of last year at this exact time. I had just gotten out of the hospital, after spending 5 days there really sick and having surgery. I came home and spent 2 weeks flat in bed trying to recover and my mom would bring Isabella in and lay her next to me. She was only 4 months at the time. When she layed next to me she sat there and stroked my arm for hours at a time. Again, I couldn't help but get teary. She is the most loving and sweetest thing in the world. Our house is filled with so much love because of this little spirit.

That is so cute! It is kind of funny how little kids are, Tailor knows when I am not feeling good. I can wake up and my stomack can be hurting and she will look at me and say "your sick". I don't know how she does it but she does.

I hope you're feeling better! I'm just getting caught up again on your blog. I'm sorry about Grandma Hernandez. What an amazing story! I'm glad her wish came true.

Also, I love your planters. They look beautiful. Next time I come down, let's get our girls together for popsicles!

Lis, sorry to read you spent the holiday weekend down with the flu. We wish we were there to help but we can see you had a great little helper! Mom got teary eyed when she read your BLOG - remember, a little one learns by example. She has watched her cute mommy - she idolizes you. You have such a big heart. Thanks for being a great mommy and example to our adorable granddaughter! Love, Mom and Dad

Hey melissa, hope your're feeling better. Taking care of sick kids is draining, but taking care of kids when you're sick is worse.
So when is Isa getting a sibling? Have you started coupon shopping yet?
Cooper gets out of school this week, so we'll have to get together next week. OK!

How fun! I love their big hearts. I think they know when we really need some pick me ups. How fun to get that picture of her in action! What a cutie! Hope you feel better soon.

Simon is the same way! I donated blood the other day and when Cody got home he pulled the band aid off (I'm a total wimp with stuff like that!) and I squealed...well, Simon started crying and saying "don't hurt my mommy!" I kind of love that he is protective of me! :)
