We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a fun and busy holiday. The girls finished up school for the year. Eva brought home this sweet little craft for me, I got a little teary reading it. I feel like with the crazy hustle and bustle of the holidays, I needed this gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy the holidays with the kids.
Isabella caught the nasty flu that has been going around, so she missed most of the last week of school, but she was able to make it to the Kindergarten program, thank goodness. Because it was absolutely adorable, and the kids did a great job!
The girls helped me wrap the presents. Eva got her leg stuck in the ribbon tube...that's Eva for ya!
Daddy got the girls pedi's and mani's all ready for the holidays.
My parents flew in for the holidays, we were so excited to see them! And just as they flew in, it was Eva's turn to catch the flu. She was sooo sick. It was sad!
So while Daddy and Eva stayed home, my parents, Isa and I headed out to Cornish for some good old country Christmas fun. We had hoppin horsey relays, a CRAZY game of musical chairs for the kids and adults, pin the nose on the reindeer, freeze dancing, and tons of laughing and good times. We missed Eva and Chris this year ;o(
Christmas this year definitely turned out to be a WHITE Christmas, it was amazing. It snowed for like 4 days straight, it was beautiful and put us all in the Christmas spirit!
Christmas Eve was the annual Hernandez dinner and present opening. We had a fun surprise. A super adorable Santa came to visit. The girls were soooo excited!
Santa brought an extra nice surprise for my brother in law. You will have to watch the video to see what exciting present the Hernandez family got this year.....we are pretty excited!
Then we came home and got the cookies and celery ready for Santa's arrival. Look at Eva's poor tired eyes.....
The girls opened their Christmas Eve presents....new pillows and jammies.
The girls LOVED their new jammies!
Santa found our house.
All the beautiful snow on Christmas Eve.
Christmas morning the girls were soooo excited. Isabella has been dying for a scooter and Eva wanted a Jeep. The girls were super surprised, it was adorable!
I couldn't get the picture to flip, but when the girls opened their presents they bought for each other (Tinkerbell dress up and a huge bucket of bubble gum), they couldn't help but tackle each other and hug.....pretty adorable!
Isa has done nothing but ride her scooter all over the house since Christmas day. And Eva was so jealous watching Isa ride her scooter, that she decided that she needed to use her Christmas money from Grandma and Grandpa to go buy her one too. So, now I have two little crazies riding in circles around the kitchen table all day, lol!
Chris got the girls and me a pretty cool and unique gift this year. We each got our own Oyster's. I know, pretty weird and gross right? But, we had so much fun opening up the oyster and digging for the pearls. They are beautiful and Isa's actually had 2 pearls inside. 2 were pink pearls, 1 was white and 1 was silver. Super cool, we can't wait to take them to a jeweler to have them made into something.
The girls have loved playing in all the snow with their friends!
Eva sporting her Tinkerbell wings while driving her new car.
This was one of the coolest things ever! Wednesday afternoon we were coming home from shopping and Isa said, "Look mom, you can see where Santa's sleigh was" Sure enough, there are sleigh marks on the left side of the roof, it's hard to see in the picture, but they look like definite sleigh marks, how cool is that?
And just a little random fun we have had over Christmas break.. The girls came up with a new handshake, it makes me laugh hysterically.
