Thanksgiving was fun this year. Really quiet. We spent Thanksgiving at Chris's aunt Bonna and Grandma B's house. There was just our little family of 4, his aunt and Grandma B and Chris's mom and Dad and brother Kyle. The food was super delic and we ate WAY too much!
I neglected Black Friday (that now makes 2 years in a row!) I have decided I must be getting old, because now that my mom doesn't live close and you can find so many great deals online-I don't even bother with it. Instead I spend the ENTIRE day pulling out all my Christmas totes, putting on a little Bing Crosby, Michael Buble or Josh Grobans Christmas CD's, burning my favorite scent (Salt City Christmas Trimmings) and enjoying the day with my family decorating the house. I admit I am a little out of control with Christmas decorations, but I am glad that my husband and kids are on board with it, it's fun when it's all done. This year we decided all the rooms need a Christmas tree (did I mention I am a little out of control?) thought so. So, we decorated the main Christmas tree in the living room, and then we decided to put up a Christmas tree in everyone's bedrooms, and I LOVE it! It's so fun!
Is it possible to burn down your house from too many lights, if so...I think I better up our insurance! I'm in love with Christmas lights!
After we got the house all decorated we watched Mickey's Christmas Carol and snuggled up around the Christmas tree. I love the magical feeling of Christmas!
Then Saturday we headed to the annual Preston Light Festival, the kids were soooo excited! They love the hot cocoa, the fireworks and seeing Santa in the parade. I love our little traditions, I hope they are traditions the kids will always remember!
Sunday we helped Grandma dip chocolates (we ate way too many!!)
And then after eating so much, and running and running all weekend, I did some of this.....I'm pooped!
Happy Holidays everyone!
