It's officially Spring! And we are loving it!!! The weather has been fantastic and we have been outside playing and gardening...it just makes me happy! I have had the itch to "Spring" up my house with this sunny weather, so I have been crafting a little. A couple years ago me and my girlfriends got together and my friend Jackie's husband was awesome enough to cut these fun flowers for us. And we all hung out one night painting and crafting up these cute flowers. Well, we moved into our new house right after we made these, so it got boxed up and I forgot I had it! So, I pulled it out this Spring and spruced it up with some fun Spring decor I found at Hobby Lobby for insanely cheap...and it makes me smile!
the end result.....
After I got done with this project, I had the itch to craft up some more. My parents gave me this had me down sofa table when Chris and I got married, and I have been itching to paint something turquoise......so I finally got brave a couple weeks ago and just DID IT! Ahhh.......it's fun to buy the can of paint, but once I started painting I was like......."Okay, no turning back!"
All finished! I love it. It freaks Chris out a little bit!! Ha ha!
Lately I have been loving turquoise, red and mustard together. I found these really cute mustard flowers and turquoise butterfly napkin ring holders at worldmarket and thew them in with my candles to tie it all together. Springy and loving it!
All my other projects have been out in the yard. I am so weirdly addicted to gardening....I'm in heaven with this early warm weather!!
Easter snuck up on us really fast, but I was sooo excited for Easter to approach because my parents were flying in Easter weekend for my nephews baby blessing. So we had a jam packed weekend of FUN!
And of course with the girls request Friday morning, Grandma whipped up some of her famous pancakes. This time Mickey and Minnie were the the winning pancakes.
Saturday we woke up and went to visit the Easter bunny and then came home and did an Easter Egg hunt with Grandma and Grandpa McKnight.
This year was fun for the girls to have Grandma and Grandpa McKnight and Hernandez at the house to watch them dye Easter eggs. (I take a million pictures, but without fail I always forget to get a picture of the entire group!!) Seriously!
That night the entire family got together for Grandpa Winn's 81st birthday and of course I forgot to pack the camera. The whole day was just fun with family!!!
The girls went to bed soooo excited for the Easter bunny! It was so cute!

The next morning, the girls had to wait in their rooms until I had the video camera and the camera ready to roll.....being the picture freak that I am!
They came out with their eyes shut......so excited!
Ready for church in their Easter dresses
And this Easter Sunday was extra special since we were able to attend my Nephew Desmond's baby blessing. If you remember a couple months ago I mentioned he was here. He arrived a month early, so he was in the NICU for awhile working on getting his lungs strong enough to go home!! He is an absolute angel. He hardly fusses, he just loves to snuggle, and he is just a sweetheart. We love him! My brother, Dustin, gave him a beautiful blessing, and he looked so cute wearing my brother's blue blessing outfit that my brother was blessed in....and the crochet booties my Grandma Shirley made for my brother 28 years ago
Here he is now 2 months (or I guess really just a month? since he was born a month early?) Just a little guy.....but we sure think he's gorgeous! I couldn't pick which pictures were my favorite....so you get to see them all!!
After the blessing we spent the afternoon at my SIL's family's house. It was the PERFECT weather for a picnic and Easter egg Hunt.
Mom, Dad, Grandpa and Pat with baby Des
Then we went over to Chris's family's house for another amazing Easter meal (yes I think we gained 10 pounds over Easter weekend with all the wonderful food!) The girls got one last Easter Egg Hunt in at Grandma and Grandpa Hernandez house.
Eva stuffing her face with uncle Kyle's amazing Easter cupcakes!!
And lastly, yesterday was Isa's first soccer game. Her team name "The Loopies". What exactly a Loopie is, I'm not sure. But, they all looked so darn cute out there. Isa ran her little heart out.....she made me smile!!
Okay...I seriously need so start updating more frequently so my posts aren't so darn long! LOL~but I think we are updated!
