Weekend in Montana

Last weekend I went up to Montana for a girls weekend with my mom.  I flew out Thursday night and got home Sunday night. This was the first time I have left my kids and hubby for that long.  WE had soooo much fun. For those of you that know my mom, know that it's impossible to not have a good time with that woman, she's a hoot! Here's some pictures of the trip....

Got in late Thursday night. Woke up Friday morning (mom had to run to work for a second) and I sat in the kitchen and was totally weirded out by the fact that  no one was demanding specific types of cereal or granola bars and throwing tantrums.....it was just me making some scrambled eggs all by myself. It was soooo quiet.  So, what did I do?  What any mom with a house all to herself would do. I turned on the radio....really LOUD..... and spent an extra few minutes doing my hair and make-up (just cuz I could!!)  Then my mom took me and her super cute hair stylist Sara to lunch! Yummy!  I love lunch dates!
After lunch it was just me and my mom and a day out on the town! We always do serious damage when we go shopping together!  To get some extra energy for shopping we first hit this incredible chocolate shop......with the coolest chocolates.....

We found this one to be the most intriguing.
I don't have an I-phone, I'm way old school. So, I had my mom take a picture of these and email them to Chris asking if he needed us to buy him some.  After she hit the send button I asked her if she updated his email info?  What??!!! No! "You just totally sent some random dude a picture of chocolate nipples asking him if he wants some?" Oh dear, this has sexual harassment written all over it? Come to find out I-phones are smarter than me, and the picture got send to his phone, not his incorrect e-mail address.......Phew!!! But, we did get the giggles over this one!

Aren't these chocolates adorable? I know...I totally didn't want to eat them!

After we got our chocolate buzz, we shopped, and shopped, and shopped some more!!!! We hit all the unique boutiques on main street and I LOVE finding unique boutiques!  We found this really fun one with darling clothes.  I wanted to try on some pants and the employee led me to a dressing room that just seemed bizarre. I asked my mom if she could see my g's and she was like "No, you're good!"  I asked her about 10 more times, "Ru sure?" She kept re-assuring me that EVERYONE walking by could only see my knees. Then I hear her take a picture and BUST up laughing.  So not COOL MOM, so NOT COOL!  Can you imagine what a bunch of cowboys walking by thought of this giddy-up underwear?

I know, I know, you totally want to do a cowboy whistle at this picture!
I found these for Isabella......she totally hates them! But, I'm forcing her to wear them with at least one outfit because a pair of real authentic cowgirl boots are the cutest things ever!
Did I mention I Love, LoVE, LOVE, boutiques?  I totally want to open one!  We found these killer cute baking mittens and flower measuring cups/spoons for the girls. Adorable!!!!
After a full day of shopping, we went home...threw on our comfy clothes...ate more of our chocolate, and then watched "The Help." Oh my.......what a tear jerker.  It's so funny to watch sad movies with my mom., because after a movie like that both of us want to say something but we can't even talk because we are just sobbing.  All I could get out of my mouth was "Sooooo sad" because my throat hurt so bad from not just wailing!!! Don't you hate it when you just want to burst out in tears.... but you don't want to sound like a total dork?

Saturday morning....more adventures!  We went out to the perfect little cafe and had us the most AMAZING waffles....I know don't you just want to reach through your computer and take a bite of this!

Then we were off to get us a Pedi.  I have NEVER had a Pedicure before-except from my husband.  He rocks at them.  What? I know!  I was pretty excited!

I can't get enough of this sea green/turquoise color lately.  I had to paint my toes this color so I can go to Home Depot and ask them to color match my toes for paint, LOL!  And, just in case you have never seen my toes up close before. Yes my big toe is 1" taller than the rest of my toes. Brittney Spears has the same problem. Random fact.
Me and Mom's toes. Cute eh?
After our Pedi's and shopping we hit a matinee, "This means war," and it was the perfect chick flick for our girls weekend! We laughed so hard!  Then we hit our favorite place for dinner, Jonny Carino's. Then we came home and relaxed! Sunday was the day I headed back home....sigh!

It was the funnest weekend ever and Montana is absolutely beautiful. I could totally live there!  Monday morning I was pretty excited to be woken up by 3 cute faces squeezing the heck out of me!! The girls were sooo excited to see all the "surprises" I brought home.  This one is one of our favorites.  I LOVE World market..they have the funnest, most random things.  So for FHE Monday night we spent it playing basketball.  Chris's face cracks me up in this picture.  I think he was thinking something like, "Really.....this was the best thing you found shopping?"
Eva's head was too small so she just slipped it around her neck.  Leaving all the balls to fly over the hoop and into dad's face.  Awesome!
And, this picture is for Grandma Teresa.  These are the super cute headbands we found at one of the boutiques.  I am going to attempt to make some......they are darling!

"Please Paparazzi.....no more pictures!!"

Thanks mom for an awesome weekend full of laughs and relaxation!!!

How fun- just you and your mom!! It looks like you guys had SOOO much fun! I can't believe you have never had a pedi- although if Chris gives good ones there really isn't a need! I am with you on the turquoise color- love it!

Fun weekend! Your mom is the best! P.S. My neighbor makes those headbands. She found a tutorial on-line and whipped some up for her little gal and one for Ady. If she can do it I know you can!
