My sweet sister in law Ashley took some super cute pictures of our family and Thanksgiving this year. Thanks Ash for taking these pictures!! I think I mentioned a few posts ago that I haven't spent Thanksgiving with my side of the family in 5 years since my parents moved away. So I was soooo excited! And because I was still recovering from surgery (please don't look at the bags under my eyes in all the pictures....I was tired!!) my dad came a few days before Thanksgiving to help me grocery shop and cook-since I got to host Thanksgiving this year. Did I mention how excited I was to host Thanksgiving this year? Just in case I forgot.........I was REALLLYYY excited to host Thanksgiving this year!
Here's my table scape, LOL. (I love that Sandra Lee on the food network totally calls a table setting that!) Random thought.
Wednesday my dad and I spent the day with the girls cooking and cooking and cooking. We made a double batch of homemade rolls....um yum! Pretzel salad, cranberry sauce, cabbage salad (my dad's specialty that I LOVE and Chris absolutely refuses to eat, LOL!) Spinach dip and veggies, marshmallow fruit salad, and my dad's famous deviled eggs. It was so special to spend the day in the kitchen with my cute dad. I don't know how I would have done all this cooking alone!!
Okay, I totally found this super cute pitcher at Bed Bath and Beyond, and I couldn't resist serving cranberry infused water for Thanksgiving, isn't it so pretty? I can' t wait to use it this summer for lemonades, Yum-O!
The girls were so excited that they had their own little special table for Thanksgiving, they thought they were pretty neat. Love them!
My cute Grandpa and his wife Pat.
My cute brother and dad
Chris carving up the big bird!
another picture of the girls having quite the conversation, they are pretty entertaining!
Mom cooking away!
Me...doing something.
More delicious food!
more of the girls....Eva looks real concerned....this must have been captured when I dumped half the bag of stuffing on the floor, LOL! It was the only Turkey day tragedy we had thank goodness. I'm a total spaz!
more yummy goodness
Eva disgusted....probably from the smell of the deviled eggs!
Our little family!
Me and my honey!
It was a wonderful....yummy...thanksgiving! Thanks again to my sweet dad for alllll his help with the cooking on Wednesday....it was some serious team work!!! And thanks Ash for capturing all the pictures! It was the perfect Thanksgiving!

How fun!! Crazy that is had been 5 years since your whole family was together for Thanksgiving. I can't believe how great you look for just having major surgery!! What a bonus to have an awesome photographer for a sister-in-law! Great pictures!
Melissa, I think you look beautiful in these pics. You look a little tired, but gorgeous. But then I have always thought you are!! Isn't it wonderful to be part of a loving family who actually enjoy being together. Cherish it!
Looks lovely. I'm so glad you got to have your family here. Holiday's just aren't the same without your family around. I'm also glad you are feeling better and that you had family there to help ya out during this crazy time. Darling pic's. You are beautiful and your little family always makes me smile.
