"Time-Out"
Isabella makes me giggle and sometimes she even makes me want to cry. She definately is a typical 2 year old full of personality. I think she senses a "change" coming to our house with all the talk of Eva and trying to hype up the idea that she is going to be a big sister. She get's excited when we talk about being a big sister, but I have also noticed that she has wanted LOTS of extra attention. I am trying to take these last few weeks and just spend lots and lots of 1 on 1 time with her. She seems to need a few extra hugs and kisses every day, and I am always willing to give some of those!! But, let's face it, dinner still has to be made and laundry still has to get done, so I can't give her my attention 24-7. I have been reading Magic 1-2-3 and have really tried to stick to the disciplining principles in it. It's been working pretty well.....maybe a little too well. Because this morning I could hear her talking in her room, and as I approached the room I saw Elmo in Isabella's reading chair, which is also her time out chair. She was explaining to Elmo that he needed a time out and was asking him, "Do you need a bum spank?" Hmmmm......she must of heard that from her father??????

That's so cute! It's scary when they start mimicking you!
Tell us more about this book!
Um, I'm pretty sure that had to have come from Chris(at least it would be nice if she'd heard it from him. Jeff is kind of a pushover sometimes. And I imagine Chris is too with those gorgeous eyes of Isas'). I think she will be such an awesome big sister. Such a good mom to cherish the last weeks with her as your "only" child. She is just so cute and sweet.
LOL! that's awesome! A bum spank.LOVe it!
We do nose's in the corner and I have found our elmo's nose in the corner a few times.. Elmo must be a very naughty monster?!
She is just two. I think she will do very well with a baby to see and help with. You are such a good mommy to make sure she get's the love and attention.. not to mention a lot of patients a lil' two year old needs!
Just wait till she uses the exact angry voice you use. Nothing makes you feel like a better parent!
:)
I love it! That is hilarious- it is so amazing how quick they catch on to things! I am glad that you are enjoying your last couple of weeks! Eva will be here before you know it!
That is so cute! How exciting that you're time is almost here! What is this Magic 1 2 3 book? How young do you start???

That is so funny. Of course those are the words that come from "dad" :0
Hey Melissa! The headbands and flowers, I did not make. There is a girl here in Rock Springs that makes them. Aren't they the best!
I hope you are feeling well! Good luck these last 3 weeks!
When we come to Logan again in June I will for sure stop by and take a peek of the new baby!
that is so cute isabella echos you!! and the girls' room turned out so great!!
Poor Elmo it isnt the only beaten and yelling that he has ever gotten. What a funny girl. They pick up on things fast!!!
Your new post made me laugh because it brought back a memory of when you were 2.
I was in the kitchen and I remember hearing your frustrated little voice coming from your bedroom, so I snuck down the hallway to see what was going on. As I peeked around the doorway, you had one of your dolls by both arms, and you were nose-to-nose and eyeball-to-eyeball with the doll telling the doll firmly, "Are you listening to me, if you don't mind me I will spank your bum". Yes, I too, had a clear vision of my master discipline skills?
Sorry, it's hereditary?!
Love you!
Mom
