Easter Weekend

We had way too much fun this weekend. Chris's brothers that live out of town came up with their families for Easter weekend. The kids had so much fun playing together. And, to say the least I think we are all exhausted! It was a great weekend. Here are a few pictures of all the festivities.

Getting ready to go see the Easter Bunny at the Grocery Store.

Baby Animal Days. This was way more worth the money than last year, this year Isabella actually wanted to touch the animals. She loved them!

Saturday night we dyed Easter Eggs at Grandma's House with the cousins.

Sunday morning Isabella was so excited to see what the Easter bunny had left her. We had so much fun shopping for Isabella this year. Chris made me giggle. I had to remind him that it was just Easter and not Christmas. This little girl has her daddy wrapped around her fingers! Chris really wanted to buy her a kite for Easter and he spent so much time picking the perfect one. And since Isabella LOVES balls, Chris made sure to buy her Easter eggs that looked like baseballs, basketballs and footballs, she LOVED them, they were a HUGE hit! And of course it was a given that she was excited she got to eat Chocolate all day. She sorted through all the jelly beans and just picked out all the chocolate (that's my girl)!!! I had to include this picture it just makes me smile. Before church we went to Grandma's to get a picture of the Grandkids in their Easter clothes. They did everything but cooperate for a picture, and then we realized we sat them directly facing the sun and we kept telling them to look up and smile.....no wonder they were giving us dirty looks!!!

Sunday afternoon was spent flying our new kite, playing hop scotch, and ending the day with a great Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Even with all the festivities and running around I was able to find some quiet time to stop and remember the real reason we celebrate Easter and I am thankful for the sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ, and for the atonement. We are so blessed, and I am so greatful for that sacrifice.

Love the pic's! Rod is such a pushover with our girls too. I have to be the tough one when it comes to buying them things. Little girls just have a serious power over their daddy's! Glad you guys had such a great holiday.

ps. Sam is totally in the, "I will do EVERY DANG THING myself" phase too. I have to plan ahead because everything takes us double the time now. :)

Sounds like you had a blast! Although the huge Easter bunny at the store would've totally creeped my girls out and had them running away screaming...probably me too. :) We buy the girls kites at Easter as well...the dollar store ones are AWESOME!

As for our building plans...we subdivided our lot and are building right next door. Yeah, not so far of a move eh? Good thing I like it here. We hope to start next month but I'm totally for sure who will be building it yet. We've got to get some bids first. I'm nervous for the whole process but super excited.

It looks and sounds like you had a wonderful Easter. We loved baby animal days too. We hadn't been before but it was really fun.
I wish I could have talked to you the other day at Juniper. You looked great! I miss you at gymnastics. I can't believe how fast your pregnancy is going by. I am excited to meet your little Ava!

Hi there! Easter is fun again when you have little kids! We too spoiled Kaitlyn with Easter goodies, Markham kept asking me if I had shopped for Kaity's Easter basket yet, as if I would let it slip ;) She was terrified of the Easter Bunny, he was "scary",- so no cute pics. She enjoyed the candy and festivites from afar.

My kids got way more for the Easter Bunny than I ever got! He must be getting better and better!

Grace is in the myself stage too... I loved your story about doing it myself!
