Well it's official, I have finally received the first "Dumb" pregnant statement. Not bad, I made it to 5 1/2 months without a stupid statement from some stranger. Although, now that I think about it, I made it to 7 months with Isabella before the "You must be having twins" comment. Maybe this is bad I am already getting crazy comments. I laugh when my friends and I get together and compare some of the outrageous things people actually have the nerve to say to pregnant women. I haven't "announced" we are pregnant to anyone in my ward, except for the ladies I work with in Young Women, and a few good friends, but maybe I should since tonight the comment from one of my Young Women was "Melissa, do you just feel bloated all the time?" Well, that leads me to the title of my post. It seems like around 5 1/2 months ya just feel BLAH. I just hate all those size 0 mom's who get this cute perfectly round belly at like 3 months, the rest of us are left getting the "RU pregnant" stare from people around the neighborhood. Maybe it's time to invest in those tacky T-shirts that make the obvious even more obvious, to the people who don't get the obvious!
Totally on a side note, I had to post an adorable picture. No, not of my belly (obviously, it will be awhile before another one of those), but of Isabella's B-day cake. There are a million and one reasons I love my husband, but this weekend my husband out did himself. About a week ago I told him that I was going to order either a Dora, Nemo, or Shrek cake, since those are her favorite characters right now. I knew with my mom being in town we would be too busy to sit down and make a cake. But, Chris said "Nope, we're not buying her a cake, I want to make her a Dora cake for her B-day." I teased him for about a week, and I continuosly questioned his ability to make a character themed cake. Well, I watched my cute husband for about 2 hours on Saturday carefully decorate this cake for his little girl, and was absolutely shocked at the end product.
I love this guy!

Wow! The cake looks great! Very cute!
The pregnancy comments were kind of funny in the beginning, then they got annoying, and at the end of my pregnancy I never wanted to go anywhere because I was so sick of the comments and stares! I am sure you look perfect though!!
That is really sweet! Love the cake...
Leave it to a young woman to say something so dumb! What did you say to her when she asked?!
I am very impressed with the cake...how cute that he did that for her! That's funny about Gtu. Maybe you are a psychic.
Wow, I'm very impressed, I can't frost a normal cake.....
So the funniest thing someone said to me, was when I was 2 weeks away from having Max. I hadn't officially told people we were having #2, but come on my due date was in 15 days...
So I see this lady from my ward at Wal-mart, and we say hi - at church on Sunday she said "So are you working full time?" I said no, I just quit my job because I'm having another baby." She said, "You're having another baby? I wondered at Wal-mart last week, but then I thought we are both just large people." (Mind you she is probably like 300+ so, I don't exactly put myself in the same boat...) I was like um... Thanks...
People... do you think they ever walk away and realize just how stupid the thing was they just said?!
That cake was awesome! I'm impressed! Way to go Chris!

That cake is so cute. Very impressive.
As for the pregnancy comments....some people are just dumb.
WOW, he did a great job! Very Sweet.
Thanks for the recipe, I want to make it this weekend.:)
That looks really good! How nice that he would do that for her. What a lucky dad she has!
We are taking swimming lessons at the sports academy. I should have called you because it would be nice to have a friend in the class. But you should sign up for the March class.
I had to laugh about the YW comment. Just the other week one of my YW said, "Sandy, you are getting so big!" I laughed and thanked her sarcastically. Those YW really say what's on their mind. I bet you look adorable! Congrats on another girl.
P.S. Love the b-day cake!
