I've Been Spooked!!!!

Coincidentally enough, it's getting close to Halloween, and I have definately been spooked a couple times this week! I thought I must share! First, I am probably one of the most paranoid people out there, so it makes the stories that much more entertaining!

Sunday night, I think what triggered the whole event was we watched the Top 100 scariest movies of all time on TV. Something must have been planted in my head! I was in a peaceful sleep, when I was awoke (by nothing) at about 4:00 in the morning, I just simply woke up for no reason. As I awoke-there was the Grim Reaper right in front of my face. I made a weird noise (like I wanted to scream but wasn't sure if I should)...and it just so happened that Chris was waking up and stretching his arm. His arm was not outside of the covers, so when he stretched the covers were folded just right in front of my face to make a perfect draped cloth with a shadow inside of it. I thought for sure it was the end.....I made a super weird noise which then woke up my husband...Just imagine waking up from a nice slumber to this.....

Chris got a killer good laugh!! Jerk!!

Second, I was on my way home from water aerobics tonight. It was approaching 9:30 p.m. It was really dark outside (which creeps me out anyways)...as I was driving down the road to turn into my neighborhood there was a dog crossing the road, no leash, no owner, and a fairly BIG dog. Not just any dog....a BIG brown one (just like the ones in I AM LEGEND)...yes, you can probably see where this is going. My mind staring turning, I knew that the dog was entering the East side of my sub division, I live on the West side...I calculated, and I only had less than a minute to get through my front door, before this man eating DOG was going to get me. PROBLEM: Normally I could just park the car real close to the front door and run as fast as I can to the front door, leaving my swim bag behind! But, there was an infant fast asleep in the back...buckled in, I did the math again, there was no way I could open my door, get to the back door, open it, undo the car seat and pick up a 25 pound infant, find her binky and blanket, shut the door and make it inside on time. So, I sped up..trying to beat the clock. I pulled into the driveway-got to the backseat, my heart was pounding, I could hear dogs barking (I'm not just adding that for fun, dogs were going crazy in the neighborhood), I ran to the front door. Crap, why can't I find the right key to open the front door. We struggle to get the key in straight, open the door....uhhh, we made it.

LOL! you crack me up! I don't even try to watch scary shows. I just can't do it!!
In truth I freak myself out pretty good too.. But I try to pull off the tough girl and refuse to run and scream.( inside my head I'm totally freak'n out tho!)

my biggest fear out in a dark parking lot. is that someone is hiding under my car and is going to slit my acheley's heal. So I try to umlock from a lean in position jump in. and then my goal is to run the "thing" over. Dumb isn't it.

Happy Halloween. No more scary shows for you! LOL!

It's nice to know there is another paranoid person out there but I'm pretty sure I'm worse than you. I don't know if it was having a baby or moving to Indiana. I can't watch scary movies anymore because of how freaked out I get.

Lol. You're so funny. What is it with being spooked so easily? Does it come with age? I swear, the older I get the more jumpy I become!

I'm curious, did you ever really see that big man eating dog again before you made it inside the house?

I LOVED your advice... though I won't be trying it tonight. Bill is in Utah until tomorrow. BUT, I will try it as soon as he gets back.

So Isa was 2 weeks early?

Bill will have a hay day with this one! :) Thanks a bunch!

So I see you have inherited my paranoia - I am so sorry. Just a warming, the next thing to come is "peeing your pants". Sorry, just had to give you a heads-up.

Love your BLOG.
